Future Biology is a sub-field of speculative biology (evolution) focused on the future of lifeforms on planet Earth and their gradual evolutionary process. Television shows such as The Future is Wild and books like Future Evolution and After Man: A Zoology of the Future are each examples of work in the field, and over the past years, more work about the subject has been done, and a growing community has risen out of the internet, such as the forum at Speculative Evolution and its sub-forum on the matter; Evolutionary Continuum.
